The Public Distribution System in India.

Well,  the Public Distribution System as we know are the fair prices shops located all over India that give essential goods to the consumers (especially to the BPL population)  at a cheap price. But the number of these PDS shops have grown over the years subsequently its development cannot be seen. Lets see some of its facts:

Though the number of the PDS shops have crossed 5,00,000 since its inception but still no improvement in its facilities. The PDS stock comes from the reserved stock of the Government of India, but that stock is so much piled up that it is getting spiders and rodents. This defect is mainly due to the less outtake from the PDS shops and its maldistribution and wrong storage methods due to the unskilled workers. The PDS stock sometimes doesn't reach to the shops because if the food corruption. The distributers sometimes take their share while delivering it and take so much that nothing is left behin.., the poor are told that the stock hasn't arrived yet and he has to pay a high price of his hunger.
A study carried out by the committe appointed by Hon'ble Supreme Court of India following results were got:

The rotting food stocks of PDS in Govt. godowns

After touring various states and scrutinising the operation of PDS system through fair price shops, the committee headed by retired Supreme Court judge Justice D P Wadhwa used following terminology for different states:

* PDS in the state has collapsed (Rajasthan)

* PDS system is glaring example of what the system ought not to be (Jharkhand)

* beneficiaries get ration of a month after a delay of 3-4 months (Bihar)

* fair price shop owners admitted they bribe officials concerned even to get FPS licence and pay monthly bribe (Gujarat)

* appointment of grain storage agents susceptible to high political influence (Orissa)

* enforcement lax, collusion between officials, investigating agencies, dealers, wholesalers and other vested interests (Karnataka)

* foodgrain sold at excessive prices at the fair price shops (Uttarakhand)

But the most damning comments were reserved for Delhi, the national capital. Apart from terming the PDS as inefficient and corrupt, the committee said in its report to the apex court that "there is largescale diversion and black marketing of PDS foodgrain".
You will be surprised to know that the corruption in the PDS system is Rs 3,58,00,00,000 per year(358 crore/year) isn't that a whooping amount ! The shop owners often ask for a bribe to the poor (about 61% people admit that), the bribe taken is mostly shared by the owner and the distributer. The shop owners often keep odd timing of the shops so as to limit its access to the people. In most of the cases it was found that shop owners keep shops open a the dawn and close it suddenly. Artificial hoarding of the goods is one of the most important factor contributing to the hunger of the poor. For more details in a good view format please visit : PDS Survey . The PDS stocks sometimes doesn't reach the villages due to their poor transport system. The poor are often mispriced by the shop owners.
Can you believe that this is the condition of the place from where the poor in India tries to fulfill his daily needs. Can you now see the injustice on your brothers and the sisters ? Have you any answer to this ? The answer is surely "no". But we may change it as I always say "Together we can make a difference." If you come across any injustics from the PDS on the poor feel free to phone call at: 6573 4444. JAI HIND!

Corruption: The Indian menace.....

India what we and the world says as the land of values is somewhere degrading. The values are being lost in the wake and the back-light of being wealthy. All the world is suffering from the menace of the corruption but none other than a vast, largest democracy and the second fastest developing economy like India will be affected by it. Corruption has become everyday topic of the discussion of the  (awakened) youth. It has affected various strata of our society. Let's talk in briefly about some facts of the corruption.
Now the issue of corruption is such that none in our country can be added to its exception. Corruption is everywhere. From a "tahasildar", maybe till the highest post in India (President). India is the second largest growing economy in the world. But its most dangerous challenge is the corruption. In India the people are the main cause of the corruption. Whenever a official demands bribe people are openly giving it.
See the above video even if you don't read the blog post. According to the World Anti-Corruption report 2007, India ranked 72nd in the world's most corrupted list, while in the list declared at the end of 2010, India dropped to 87th rank ! A fall by 15 ranks in the list. While USA has backed a position of 22nd and Norway ranked 1st. Thus you may see that India's rank is falling day by day. In India the most main problem lies due to the poor judiciary. Whenever a man files a case against the corrupt officer, the justice gets so delayed that the work of the man remains pending for a long duration. So people in India generally give a small amount and get their work done. But no one thinks that because of his one bribe what will be effect on the economy of the nation. Bribe means black money on which no tax is paid. Hence, literally this is the theft of the Indian money.
The basic values that are being taught in the school, the teachers are only not imitating them, what will be the impression on the student who sees this. Todays Indian youth is mainly indulged in the creative activities, but he never realizes that cleaning the country of corruption is one of the most creative things. Youth in India has no give and take for the corruption. Very very few NGO's like AGNI in Mumbai, India unheard that is a video volunteer network etc. Do you know that the rate of corruption is so high in India that every 3rd Indian is corrupted. Well that's maybe a proud thing to be different, but that hampers our progress. Every one just criticizes the policies and the corrupt nature of the officials but no one dares to raise its voice.... why ? The most main reason for this is time and fear. People don't have time for this and secondly they fear of the execution techniques of violence followed by the victims. But Indian's listen, if this things would have had become a barrier then India would never have got independence. Just remember those great souls and go on for the struggle. I want to name an RTI activist Arun Mane in Pune. He is working for removing corruption voluntarily. Recently he was attacked and just suffered minor injuries due to his self defense. His mother was crying for him but he said that nothing had happened to him and these things wont detour his work against the corrupted.
Please readers if you come across any of the corrupted officer just make a contact to:-

Dead(ly) Weapons.....

First, my sincere salute to the defense personnel striving hard day and night for my and all ours security. In this post I am going to talk about India's "Deadly weapons." Why the alphabets 'ly' are strikeout you will surely understand in this post. Now in this post I am talking about the weapons in the Indian Navy, Air-force and the Indian Army.
Bofors Gun in India.
The Bofors.
I'll start from the Indian Army. The Indian army is one of the most bravest army in the world and also it is the third largest contingent in the world. But the types of the instruments and the weapons that are provided to them are worth consideration point. Indian army, frankly speaking has technology of more than 40 years old. Indian Army mainly uses the Bofors Guns, that were purchase more than 25 years ago. After the incident of the Quattrochi income tax case, none of the Government since then has ordered new guns in the Indian army. So our Jawans have to rely on that old technology only. Further speaking more the Indian army has guns that were used in the war of 1971. Can you imagine its efficiency ! Well more stuff is remaining. Indian Army uses the Russian T-70 and the Russian T-72 tanks that were developed 30 years before. Indian Army still uses it and is not ready to retire it. Out of the total tanks that are used by the army, only 50 % have the capability to see in the night time, while comparing to the tanks of Pakistan they have tanks about 80% that can see in night while with the Chinese it is 100%. The guns in the Indian army are still not more developed than AK-47 when guns 100 times more efficient than these have been produced in the world. The Indian army still uses the communication technology that is 20-25 years old. So hacking maybe very much easy in the Indian Army. Further more the Indian Army does not more than a handsome amount of the border cams. Indian Army's corruption is on the verge of increase, so the funds that are sent by the Central Government are not been reaching to the main Defense line. Indian Army is not having the new fast means of transport, they still have to rely on the old trucks. They are not provided with the railway system as does the China. Now I think its enough of the Army now.
INS Virat
Now in this segment I'll tell about the condition of the Indian Navy. In the Indian Navy there are less than a dozen of submarines, while on the other hand Chinese have reached upto 88.Indian Navy is doing very very slow progress in the technological and the evolution fields. The INS Virat, India's only aircraft carrier ship has got old age of nearly 50 years, but still Indian Navy wants it to serve for more years. Out of this India doesn't have any of the aircraft carrier. India's only atomic submarine will become operational in 2013, till then nothing. India's jet planes on the INS Virat have become 40 years old. They consume more fuel than what they give as the output. You may see its photos as I have added them. Also the helicopters that are used by the Indian Navy are 20 years old. Now I have this much only stuff for Navy.
Outdated plane on INS Virat.

Lets move on to the last segment in this post that is the Indian Airforce. The Indian Airforce I should truly say that those are the people that take their lives in their hands when they file those old and the outdated aircrafts. The Indian Airforce includes Russian Sukhoi aircrafts that are 30 years old. Also Indian Airforce have outdated MiG 22 and Mig 27 outdated aircrafts. Now these aircrafts have become so old that when will they collapse from the air cant say. These incidents have happened in the past but still Indian Airforce is not getting the new breeds of aircrafts. While China is very much advanced in this stage. They have just now developed the Chengdu J-20 aircraft, the Fifth Generation Fighter Aircraft. Indian Airforce doesn't have that standard aircraft that can survive in the intense heat or intense cold, while Pakistan and China are well ahead in it. The guns and the bombs that are used in the aircraft are to old to kill the advanced enemy. Well thats all.

Outdated MiG-29
The outdated Sukhoi.
Now finally I would just like to say that China is growing so fast in the military prowess that it will someday eat whole of India if these conditions are not cleared. Indian Defense personnel's aims and dedication are truly very very high. They say give us anything or dont give still we shall defend inch and inch of our land. So its our (Governments) responsibility to provide them with advance weapons. We spend 3lakh crore rupees in defence but still its very poor. We know that new recruitments are being done but very slowly. May it get a good pace. Again a salute to the wit and bravery and valor of the defense staff. JAI HIND.

Rahul Gandhi: "Speech without thinking."

The young leader is all the set through a new and young generation. New Youth Congress is on the fire. But in the midst something is shaking the image of Rahul Gandhi. Rahul Gandhi's speeches have made a counter attack on him. This days he is on fire mainly because of his two speeches- (1) His speech revealed by the Wikileaks made before the Ambassador of US and (2) His recent speech on the coalition government.
This young man said to the US Ambassador that " Radical Nationalist prove to be a great threat to India rather than the the outsider terrorists." Now let there be any Indian after hearing this words will surely get angry on him. Myself too is very much angry on him. Doesn't he recognizes that the greatest threat to India is not from Indian's but from the terrorist organization working against India in Pakistan ? So radical Nationalist have came in the point so I would like to mention that Lokmanya Balgangadhar Tilak was also a radical nationalist, a noteworthy freedom fighter. So isn't Rahul's speech a perfect harm to the nationalist sentiments of our freedom fighter ? Why he might be thinking that the radical nationalist are a potent threat to India he only knows. Also let he say anything but does he has any manners, to whom he is telling such things ? To the US embassy. Ha ! It doesn't seem good on his part to do such things. He will be a aviation expert but he's adding fuel to fire the national integrity. Really what Nitish Kumar said to him before Bihar's election is a good saying : "Rahul Gandhi wants to be Prime minister, first tell him become a chief minister of any state. Always he is giving speeches and suggestions to the chief ministers, first he should understand how hard is the work of the ministers."  A good fair play.
Also in the next segment of this post I would like to talk about his recent speech on the coalition government. Rahul Gandhi says that " Coaliton government has its own limitations." I too accept that but it isn't thing to be said in the public speech. It may hurt the belief of the people that our government is working for us. The price rise has become a serious issue these days, when asked about why government isn't till now made prices down at that time Rahul answered that. NCP is very much disgraced by his speech. NCP says that his speech on the coalition was not based on the principles. Coalition may have some limitations but that should not become a hurdle in the policy of the government. Then till today many coalition have borne in the world but all those haven't displaced or misplaced. What I want to say is that Rahul Gandhi says anything without prior thinking.
So at the end I would like to say that if anybody among you (the reader) meets him, just convey the message that "Think before you talk."

Is Indian judiciary powerful ?

I always wanted a good mass communication with this topic. This topic has become a burning hot these days. I heard many things about the judiciary in India through media, people and many of the social workers. So I too thought of writing about it.The main objective of my through this post will be to tell you people about the decaying judiciary in India.
Total percentage of crime in India: 19% of the total working population. This percentage has become very much more as compared to many more countries as the neighbouring China. This major problem has arisen due to an unbaseful judiciary system. The crime are on the verge of increase. This is mainly because the people know that even if I carry out the crime there's no one in India that can punish me. So there is no fear in these criminals. If we would had have a strong judiciary in India, this would have become very very less. Even if anyone launches any case against a criminal, he know that it will take ages for him to get punished. Procedures of filing a case in India is very very simple. But it does not provide what we call justice, its just a compromise in the name of justice. In India the law procedures take many many years to complete. Once my father was  telling that the land cases that are filed in the district court lasts for more than 15 years. Then whosoever wants can file a revision petition in the High-court. This again takes generation for the result. Then come the final court court of justics- Hon'ble Supreme Court of India. There are so many cases in the supreme court that it does not time only to look at the case.
The court system in system in India is very much poor. Anybody, whatever may be his crime gets a chance to file revision petition. There are still more intellectuals- One case was reported in Delhi. The man charged was having taken bribe  from a poor man. The case went for half an year, wasting the time and money of the poor. The case went against the bribed. But he file a petition against that case and after a long time of arguments, he got the court to his opponents side, for this purpose he filed the revision petition. What a wastage of time and money of the court ! Now from this case I would like to say that the courruption is on the verge of increase, not even the people of the Anti- Corruption Bureau are left from this menace. Corruption has increased due to most main reason- the poor judicial system. The bureaucrats know that whenever they will ask for a bribe there will be no one who will file a case against them (a people's fault), secondly , they think that even if the case is filed against them, the case will last for a generation and then result will be declared. Then again the High Court and then then the Supreme Court. So they can fearlessly demand bribe. That's why people find it easy and time saving to give a small bribe and get there work done.
End to the dowry system has got before ages, but without dowry marriages cannot take place. Asking for dowry is crime under law, but none of the one from whom dowry is asked dare to file a case, due to the fear that the marriage will break. But is it a thing that should be kept hidden off ? Now-a-days, I have found a very very good example of detoriorating the prestige of Indian judiciary. People now-a-days resort to illegal means and then asked for legal action against them, they calmly reply, a country in which Kasab and Afsal Guru are not hanged what such a country's judiciary can do to me. Afsal guru is rotting sice 10 years in the jail but still he is not given his fate's price. This os not only for the one reason of judiciary but also due to political reasons. Why not the country make a special law against terrorism. I am a very much radical and communist point of view that if you found a terrorist live then there shouldn't be any case against him. His Human Rights shall be take and should be tortured till the end. Giving death means a complete "Moksha", this they should not get. India hasn't learnt anything through its past- ie. the hijacking ots plane for the price of world infamous terrorists.
The Indian judiciary system hasn't been revised since its inception from the British times. It has been as it was. We do not recognize the need of the hour to revise it, regenerate it and renew it for the cost of 120 crore people of India. If you are a daily new reader then you will find several cases which will show you justice after 15 years. "Justice delayed is a injustice"- I firmly believe in. Country laws should be so much strict that no one should dare to fall in the desire to have a crime- especially the youth and the bureaucrats. Because they are the one on whom India's future is dependant on. The main problem Indian suffers from is the deficiency of the courts and the deficiency of the judges for them. As much as 1,50,000 judges and courts are still needed. Now its seems to really I have fired on the hot topic. JAI HIND.

Educational system in India.

"Energy is neither created nor destroyed; it can be transformed from one form to another." Now one boy wrote the same law in the science paper that " Energy is neither created nor it can be destroyed; it can be transformed from one form to another." Make out the difference between the two sentences. Just the boy added 'nor itcan be' to the original sentence. Teacher gave his full answer wrong and he had to loose his 2 marks without any mistake. This is our actual educational system in India. Now I like to criticize it very very much as I like to have my spheres of influence in the educational field. The educational field in India has got detoriorated over the years. Elders say that during their time in the school, they had to do a very very hard work for getting ever 70% in the examination. Now in Maharashtra's board examination of 2010 I heard that 2 or 3 students got 99% marks. Maybe they must be very very intelligent or maybe thing must be that the education is so simple that anyone can break through it.
The main problem with the Indian educational system lies with the fact that it does not chech the students capabilities, passions, interest, and most main thing- the application of what he has studied but just it tests the memory of the student. So its very much simple- just learn everything by heart (without understanding it) and write same thing in the paper, and after one day of the examination forget everything! The schools in US or any other advanced countries you will find that schools are application oriented, not memory oriented. They bring out from the students everything he has in his insight. But in India this doesn't happen. Why the quality of the Indian educational system is detoriorating you know ? This is just because no planning since beginning. The educational system is same thrughout the country. Our schools provides the students with 'The life living skills' and not 'The life making skills'. Many things can be done for upgrading the educational system. Our school just gives the knowledge about the simple interest and the compound interest by just sitting in the classrooms. But from my point of view, the schools should give some practical knowledge to the students like taking them to any of tha bank and teaching introducing them to the various banking works, mainly how to open a bank account, or how the funds transfer takes place etc. I dont say that it is possible all the time but a few time- maybe once in year. Oe the schools can arrange for a field visit, to a farm producing sugar and then the next time taking them to visit the sugarcane factory. Isn't that interesting to check out. Every student when he/she grows up has to get the knowledge to the bond papers, judicial papers, how to file a case etc on his own. This wastes his time also. I may suggest that the schools should and must include this PRACTICAL studies in its curriculum.
Further more I want to say that the school studies is so much that the student does remains with any time for his extra-curricular activities. This is the main reasons why the Indian student does not read the literature, maybe of Indian freedon struggle, or of noble laureates, of any other thinks things that will really increase his knowledge. Today's Indian youth has an 'angry blood.' They are more involved in the violent activities. May I be a symphatizer of violence but against bad deeds. Few days ago I heard that Arun Mane, an RTI activist was attacked by a group of two for working for the eradication of corruption. This violent seeds are sown in the childhood only and I regard the convict -The Indian Educational System. TV has become a more influence on the student than the education. The university education in India is also somewhat less than the standard of the world education. Indian's are not regarded as the skilled worker in the work but rather they are regarded as the skilled labourers.
At last I come to the conclusion of this work that the Indian educational system is continously detoriorating. Now we, the students, the future strenght of India are powerful but unorganized lot. We should be organized and convinve the Government to introduce educational reforms in the country. JAI HIND.

Does religion hampers progress ?

(NB: I know that religious sentiments are deep rooted in the readers. This blog is not meant for harming any of these. But to convey the message that how religion and progress are interlinked. But still for any griviences, please post a comment to that effect.)

Looking at way the public follow religion is fun, but till it do not come into the progress of the nation. Many of the Indian religion are highly cultural and enthusiastic. But during the celebration of certain festival or during certain period of time in the year, there is a great human loss at the work. Whenever there is a Dindi, thousand of people go on the pilgrimage on foot to visit the holy place of Pandharpur. But anybody knows the insight ? When these people halt at Pandharpur, they live in very much unhygienic conditions. They live on the banks of the river Chandrabhaga, defecation takes place there only and after that the same water goes of drinking purposes, maybe after some tests of purification. When these people go on the pilgrimage, they have to take leave from their jobs or any other services in which they are working in. This leaves the service or the engagement sector out of people at hands. Thus, there is a great loss of the human power and intelligence. Directly or indirectly it always affects the progress of the country, maybe on a small scale. I just want to convey what is the harm in having going by any means of transportation and live there in a hygienic place not polluting the environment and our self-health. The God is bountiful on us even if we pray from our heart. Then what is the purpose of such workings.
Lokmanya Balgangadhar Tilak started the festival of Ganeshotsav for bringing about the unity of the people. Today the unity can be seen everywhere in the society for the purpose of the festival. But all of you mus have seen the 'TAMASHA' on the day of bringing Lord Ganesha and while talking him for drowning. The youths especially have an high-fidelity music system. There is lot of sound pollution in the environment. Youths drink and dance. Somewhere the seeds of backwardness are sown through such occassions. I dont say that dont celebrate it, but rather be the real contributor to it. Arrange some kinds of hospitality programmes and develop our society. Use such occassions to deliver some speeches of the great personalities. Calling big music systems, drinking and just without base dancing  and dancing is unethical, and simply a waste of money time and 'Human resources'.
Every year in India, there are thousand of of yatras organized for various religious activities. Human loss and the nations loss in these cases is worth considering. You see now India is evolving, but only at the International level and not at the internal level. People have immense faith in God, but still our religious places are very much dirty and unhygenic. In one show on discovery channel I saw that people ate the 'prasad' od laddus that was been eaten by the rats. This cases play a very substancial role in the spread os epidemics mostly. I also saw on the television maybe on some news channel that a small boy was being kicked by a local group saying that this will remove all the bad-sights of the people that have affected him. What is this ? Where's our nation going due to this ? At one end India has started the UNSC non-permanent term and at the other end India is falling down and down, my think probably due to religion. More to tell that the Hindu religion has crores of Gods and Goddesses by worshiping them thruoghout the life a man gets exhausted. There so many festivals in the Hindu religion that their importance has no substancial meaning in the country as a whole. People just follow them for a name sake. Indeed a great wastage of time and human power.
I am too a Hindu, but not a old thinking one, but a revolutionary. I am also proud of my religion, but just feeling proud do not keep me satisfied. I want to reform it, transform it and want to make it a religion most most worthy to be followed, dont you, the reader think that ? Since ancient ages people have only modified the religion to its present stage. We are also the people and have the equal right of modifying it, so we can and must modify our religion. I dont say that dont go on a pilgrimage or dont worship god, I just want to say that do everything in its full spirit. Hinduism can be made a very precious just dont waste time in it. An ideal religion is that which satisfies the all round development of person side by side giving him the peace of mind and attaining the God in him.

What Indian's Lack In...

Now this is for the first time I'm having a post. So I may make some mistakes about it. This blog is mainly for spreading Civil Education in India. So my first post is about the manners about the Indian's. My posts title is "What Indian's Lack In...," is clearly emphasized for making a greater effect on the reader. 'Manners', a merely 7 alphabetical word is the lacking. What the British people refer to us is savage or uncivilized.
                                                                          (Our Locality)
The pic that you can see above is the specialized view of our locality. I am properly from Ahmednagar. First I used to think that Ahmednagar is the only place which is dirty in India. But after travelling to other places like Pune, Mumbai (very bad) and states like Kerala, Tamil Nadu, I realized that localities in India are very dirty. The major cause for such dirtiness I realized is the carelessness about the surroundings. People generally keep their homes clean and all the waste is thrown out of the house (probably in any open area nearby). The Britishers do not entertain Indian's much (except a few), as they believe that we will surely make THEIR country dirty. When I was on Thailand tour, the tour leader instructed us that this place is not like India to spit anywhere on. Speaking truth, all the people on our tour were laughing, but somewhere in my mind I felt ashamed. Whenever I talk with my friends that that our country is very very dirty, they reply that what to do ? we are bound to live such state. I think BOUND means what ? We are born here and its our moral duty to keep our motherland clean.
                                                       Slum in Dharavi (at Mumbai)

Now talking a bit about the people in India and their mentality, I want to tell the reader about the second side of the same coin --- The local governance. The local governance in India has become very much corrupted. They have no moral in uplifting the locals but they just want money money and money. In our Ahmednagar, there is a "virtual" Municipal corporation, for none of the councillor is such whose example can be taken. The politics in Ahmednagar has worsoned over the years. Very few dustbins and no cleanliness of present situation in our locality.
Such an unattained people and bad governance has resulted in the hampering of manners promotion in our country and thats why my first topic was about ditiness in the locality. People entirely rely on the government to clean up the locality. My dear friends this is not possible. Old say that government should give dustbins to the locality and everything will be clean. I completely agree upon them. But yesterday only I saw a woman throwing garbage at the side of the dustbin though the fact that the dustbin was completely empty. What can you deduce from this ? India lacks something... manners, literacy and love for motherland. The last point may become controversial for some of you, but what I mean here is that we all love our country but prevent to develope it. So today, My Countrymen, lets take an oath to develop India heartily and solely. After each of your action see that my land doesn't become dirty. Why not to carry the plastics packets of wafers or anything else after eating from it in public ? Make a self-introspection. JAI HIND.
